Effective September 11, 2026. This policy sets the expectations for responsible use of Turnstile.
Use Turnstile with authority
Use Turnstile for lawful activities you are authorized to conduct. Obtain the permissions, notices, and lawful basis needed for information you collect, upload, use, or share, including records about people who do not have a Turnstile account. Respect intellectual property, privacy, publicity rights, and the rights of other participants.
These standards also apply when you act through an integration, API, or automated tool. A credential or tool does not expand the permissions of the account using it. Do not use automation, another account, or a misleading role claim to bypass a required human review, financial approval, or tenant boundary.
Protect accounts and customer information
- Do not access, export, scrape, publish, or disclose another person’s or organization’s nonpublic information without authority.
- Do not bypass authentication, MFA, organization permissions, rate limits, payment safeguards, or admission checks. Do not misuse a parent organization, household relationship, talent representation, or matching email address to claim access you have not been granted.
- Do not share passwords, recovery codes, private keys, or secret invitation, transfer, or signing links publicly. Protect the accounts and devices you use to administer events or customer records.
- Do not introduce malware, disrupt the service, or conduct intrusive security testing without written authorization. Report a suspected vulnerability at legal@turnstileos.com; use the minimum information needed to describe it and do not obtain additional data to prove access.
Keep transactions and representations honest
- Do not sell counterfeit or unauthorized tickets, misrepresent admission rights or event delivery, reuse revoked credentials, or impersonate an organizer, attendee, signer, employer, or talent representative.
- Do not present a ticket verification result as a guarantee that an outside seller owns the ticket, that an outside payment is protected, or that admission is unconditional. A result is limited to what the verification experience actually confirms.
- Describe prices, mandatory charges, refund conditions, restrictions, and material event changes accurately. Do not disguise a mandatory buyer charge as an optional item or use misleading pricing to move a required charge outside the purchase review.
- Do not fabricate signatures, consent, account connections, employment or verification claims, safety reports, or supporting evidence. Do not alter records to deceive another party or obstruct a legitimate review.
Respect people and lawful complaints
Do not use Turnstile for unlawful discrimination, threats, stalking, targeted harassment, exploitation, or unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information. Do not use relationship, household, or talent-management records to facilitate those activities.
Use reporting and safety tools for relevant, good-faith concerns. Do not retaliate against a person for a lawful complaint, refund request, privacy request, chargeback, or appeal. A disagreement or payment dispute is not, on its own, evidence of fraud.
Collect information for a clear purpose
Collect only information relevant to the purpose you explain to the person. Do not put payment-card security codes, account passwords, authentication secrets, or unrelated financial credentials into CRM notes, forms, agreements, or support messages.
Sensitive, regulated, or children’s information requires appropriate authority and safeguards for the specific use. A flexible form field is not approval for every data category, a health-data agreement, or a child-consent program. Do not use Turnstile for a regulated use case requiring special contractual or operational protections unless those arrangements have been expressly established.
Account use requires the capacity and authority to accept the applicable terms. An organizer may manage appropriate records for children attending an event, but must obtain the required permissions and must not direct a child to an account or collection process that cannot meet the applicable legal requirements.
How concerns are reviewed
Turnstile may investigate concerns, request relevant information, preserve records for a justified purpose, limit an affected feature, or suspend or terminate access as permitted by the applicable agreement and law. We consider the available evidence, urgency, and potential impact. Urgent security or legal concerns may require action before advance notice can be given.
A chargeback does not automatically result in a permanent ban. A service restriction does not itself cancel an event, complete a refund, transfer an agreement, or erase retained records. Information needed for a decision may be limited to protect another person, an investigation, or legal obligations.
Report a concern or challenge a decision
Report abuse or request review at legal@turnstileos.com. Identify the relevant event, account, order, or decision and briefly describe the concern. Do not include passwords, authentication codes, full card information, or unnecessary personal records. We may ask for additional evidence through an appropriate channel.
If you disagree with an enforcement decision, reply to the notice or email the same address with Appeal in the subject and explain what you believe is incorrect. Eligible in-product safety appeals can also be used. This process does not limit a right to contact authorities, make a lawful payment dispute, or exercise another nonwaivable remedy. Contact emergency services directly if someone faces immediate danger.
Policy changes and legal contact
We will identify the effective date and version of policy changes and provide appropriate notice of material changes. Amendments to an accepted agreement follow that agreement’s change process; publishing this policy does not retroactively amend another contract.
